EP 11 – Nina Cabrera – Medical Aesthetician

Nina Maridoll Aclan-Bigalba is the President and CEO of Pretty and Calm Beauty and Wellness Center. Pretty and Calm has a holistic approach for health and beauty.  Their services include health therapy and in partnership with doctors. At the age of 24., Nina started her first business venture which she named “Nina Therapea.”  It ran for five years. It has been Nina’s  life calling to help develop her client’s self-esteem. 

This episode digs deep into the successes and challenges faced by a beauty and wellness business especially this pandemic season. They highlighted how the power of word of mouth strategy helps  them thrive.  The usual grind of handling clients and dealing with competitions were, likewise, tackled in this episode.

EP 10 – Starting a Business with $100 Capital – Melvene Holly Celeste

Melvene Holly Celeste started working with an organization at the age of 19. It’s where she met the farmers that time and started a sideline business. She’s into singing and growing up she developed her creative and technical writing. She managed to grow her business while doing a full-time job at the same time.

Melvene shares how she started and grew her business with just $100 capital and helped local farmers have a sustainable income. She also shares how she thrived and helped other small-scale businesses amidst the pandemic.

EP 09 – Eileen Juan – Life and Leadership Coach

Eileen is a life and leadership coach that works with entrepreneurs and professionals who are motivated and committed to their growth and transformation. Power Hour with Eileen is designed to improve mindset, encourage effective action and support lasting change. She has the ability to empower and inspire others to achieve. It is her mission to help leaders to develop themselves in a non-judgmental, safe environment. 

Eileen is the CEO of The Picture Company. She has 27 years of business experience and has created a unique company culture that involves a lot of fun, positivity, passion, and purpose. She believes that a happy team is a successful team that leads to profitable companies and thriving workplaces 

Eileen has a professional diploma in Hotel Management from Swiss School, Ecole des Roches in Switzerland. She went on to AIM Asian Institute of Management for Business Management Program. Her interest in the helping profession led her to a 2 year professional diploma course in counseling from the Center for Family Ministries at the Ateneo de Manila University. Recently, she finished an Entrepreneurial Masters Program from MIT (2015-2018). Eileen loves outdoor adventures like scuba diving, free diving, paddling, hiking, skiing, rock climbing, kite boarding. Eileen is a dive master and a certified yoga teacher. She has a home in Manila, Philippines and has been spending her 2020 living in Vancouver, Canada.
